2 weeks later after the beginning of my internship , i can just say that Airbus is an ideal place for a trainee work. My subject is to develop a tool on simulink/Matlab in order to simulate the BSCU controller (Braking and steering control unit) incorporated in the A320 family Aircraft to control the landing gear and display error messages in the cockpit screen.
Actually the first three days , i have just read the system description note( SDN) to take a general view of the braking and steering of the landing gear system of the plane . then i have read the SADT( Structured Analysis and Design Technique) which gives functional schematic of the BSCU and his interaction with the system such as Monitoring and controlling brakes pressure , temprature , steering angle , ect ...
the second week i have started the real subject , and have just begun to adapt the tool from another one for the A340 .
far from technique , it's a very interesting opprtunity to take contact with people in the industrial world . i work with a team of 12 likeable person ( insaiens well represented 3/12) working on the landing gear of single aisle aircraft . generally they have a mechanical and automatic background . the average age is 35-40 years old . and i'm the only trainee worker in the team .
to be continued .....
